Describe the bug
Sorting not working on preview rule alert table

Build Details

Version:8.2.0-BC1
Commit : d18a093a2cf03991b93ea3de6a1054d580d3e82f
Build:51685

Steps

  • Login to Kibana
  • Create a Rule and generate some alert
  • Click on Edit rule and scroll down to preview rule
  • Alert table show up and change sorting on the timestamp field
  • Observed that sorting is not working under the timestamp

@karanbirsingh-qasource can you please confirm if this is happening on the alerts table after creating a rule and generating alerts for it?

@MadameSheema This is occuring on both the scenarios

  • after rule creation ( details of it is present in bug)
  • before rule creation

Thanks @karanbirsingh-qasource!! not sure if I was clear in my previous question, I want to know if the user is able to sort alerts, once the rule is created on the alerts table of the rule description, not on the alert preview table :)

Yes @MadameSheema sorting is working on alerts once rule is created on the Alert table

we have validated this issue on 8.2.0 BC3 and issue is fixed now ✔️ but we can see name of timestamp column is changed now so it that change planed ? @MadameSheema
