Hi @ouliuquan,

unfortunately, Microsoft isn't playing nice with the rest of the open source community, which is why their new Pylance extension is closed source (the repo only contains the releases, not the source). Even further, their license states that only officially distributed Microsoft applications are allowed to use the extension, and so any Theia application using that extension is in violation of that license. With that in mind, we don't have any plans or the ability to support the Pylance extension.

Regarding the older ms-python.python extension: Have you confirmed that the button is also there in vscode? Are there any errors in the log when starting the extension? There might …
