This PR is to update develop-ref after recent changes to MET and METplus during the Coordinated METplus 6.0.0-beta3 release. I inspected the diffs flagged by this recent GHA run of the testing workflow for the develop branch.
Difference are flagged in 3 of 58 use case groups.
