⬆️ Update attendee count to match Tito’s numbers #125
Conversation
@tim-schilling not sure if you calculated it, but is the difference from extra virtual tickets people might have signed up for who also had an in-person ticket? |
@jefftriplett I went from the number of welcome emails that were sent out on the Friday before the conference. It's certainly possible that it's short |
Gotcha. That might be something else I can follow up on to see what the gap is. I don't want us to use a bigger number that's not accurate, but it might be someone buying their staff x-tickets that only get one email because of who purchased it vs. who they assigned them to. |
It's partly that and partly we had X number of online signups between Friday and Tuesday night that were also not counted. |
e11eventy doesn't support footnotes :(

I'm good with this change if we publicly note why it's changing.
@tim-schilling that's fair. Good addition and team work. 👏 |
Sorry, I didn't catch this with the draft, but historically, we get our attendance numbers from our sales in Ti.to which should be in-person tickets + online tickets. I don't think we should short ourselves, since it has a real-world impact on grants and other funding. Both of our Ti.to tickets are what people signed up for and assigned themselves.
