I am working to get @jdebeule's PR #363 merged. As a start, I have taken out the bit about Cayley graphs and put it here (and added documentation and tests).

PR #363 is now merged. In finishing that PR, I extracted the bit about labels of Cayley digraphs, added documentation and tests, and made this PR.
