This page aims to define what to expect before you head over to deploy TOSCA.

1. What do you need to have before deploying TOSCA?

2. What else do you need to take care of?

  • Create a folder on your Desktop, and put the contents you downloaded from Github into it.
  • Put all your geospatial data into the folder assigned for it- called 'geospatial_data_folder'.

3. What does the downloaded folder contain?

Components

  • .env- This file is the 'manager'of your tool. It helps you to get your base map from Maptiler, change location of the tool (currently it is set to Kochi), etc.
  • geospatial_data_folder- This is where you put all your geospatial data.
  • Tosca-Build-app- This is the main component you need to build your application (for the first time).

4. What are the exact outputs after deploying TOSCA?

You will have access to three things:

  1. Link to TOSCA tool, which looks like this: http://localhost:8181/
  2. Link to Geoserver, to add data into TOSCA, which looks like this: http://localhost/geoserver
  3. Link to TOSCA citizen participation tool, which looks like this: http://localhost:8181/participation
  4. Link to Geonode, to create citizen participation campaigns, which looks like this: http://localhost/admin
