The interpreter line must be updated. Normally to #!/bin/bash

To get tab completion and gitprompt, you need this in your .bashrc or equivalent:

  GIT_PS1_SHOWDIRTYSTATE=true
  
  . /usr/local/sbin/git-completion.bash
  . /usr/local/sbin/git-prompt.sh
