Rules
These are the main game rules.
Each player starts with a Deck of cards. There can be 30-50 cards in a Deck.
At first, each player draws 6 cards from his deck. He can select any number of cards to discard, which are replaced and the discarded cards are shuffled back into the deck.
Then, starting with the White player, each player takes turns in order. A turn consists of doing one or more of the following actions as mana allows. Generally, only one piece can be moved each turn, though many pieces can be created on a single turn as mana provides. Creatures cannot attack or move on the turn they placed.
- Pieces can be played on the Board by using mana to case Piece Cards.
- Spells and items can also be paid by spending the mana for each card.
- The player can pass the turn.
- A piece on the board can be moved. In general, this can happen only once per turn.
Once on the board, pieces can be moved much like Chess pieces with some clear exceptions like Barricades and Siege Engines.
Some pieces can be mounted, making the combined piece stronger by combining their Attack, Health, and Abilities.
Unlike Chess, there is no notion of 'Check' or 'Checkmate'. When a King is attacked, it loses health. When it's Health is less than zero, the player controlling that King loses the game.
