Couldn't find or install 7z.exe

When I run the MakeInstall.bat file it keeps on showing me this:

Didn't locate 7z.exe - downloading...
Downloaded 1.75 MB of 1.75 MB (100.00%)
Installing 7zip...

Couldn't find or install 7z.exe - aborting!

Press [enter] to exit...

I had the same problem.
I have a primary disk (C:) and a secondary disk (D:).
7-zip was installed on my secondary disk .
When I installed 7-zip on my primary disk this problem got resolved.
It looks like MakeInstall.bat only looks for 7-zip on the primary disk (C:).

This problem should already be fixed. I dont remember if I tried the official fix. See @staehle response to my comment with the updated MakeInstall.py. If it is still not working for some reason you can edit the MakeInstall.py to use D: or whatever drive you are using.
