Transfer between Lockette and LockettePro
TL;DR: You can safely switch from Lockette to LockettePro. Signs are compatible, usage are the same, commands are the same, and permissions are similar.
Convert from Lockette to LockettePro checklist
-
Permissions - Much the same
Players have permission to lock a chest and edit their chest sign by default. Admin permissions are available on the command page. -
[Private], [More Users], [Everyone] sign headers - Same as Lockette default
If you are using other languages, you might be using some lock headers other than default string. Check config.yml and add them to the corresponding area. (Very easy to find) -
UUID support - Won't affect you if you turn it on
As of Lockette 1.8.21, Lockette does not have the correct UUID support, and no Lockette's UUID are preserved. So it does not affect you for switching to LockettePro.
If you turn on UUID support, UUID information will remain on the newly created signs. LockettePro will prevent players from seeing the UUID information, but UUID information will always remain. Which means you cannot switch back to Lockette because Lockette does not recognize those new signs. See here for more information.
If you use the UUID support feature in LockettePro, you will have issues switching back. The UUID information will remain on the sign and will prevent Lockette from correctly recognizing players' name.
If you did not use UUID support, LockettePro's signs will still be compatible with Lockette's. Thus, you can switch back.
