VeloDT v1.2
This update adds T2Rho
which applies the equations of Goes et al. (2000) to compute densities from a given mineral composition, temperature and pressure.

VeloDT v1.1
This update of VeloDT fixes a bug when using crustal thickness (-t_crust
) or topography (-z_topo
) maps. There are also some changes in the structure of this repository. Binaries are now released for Ubuntu using QT4 and QT5.

v1.1-rc
VeloDT: Fast conversion of upper mantle seismic velocities to density and temperature
VeloDT comprises two tools written in C++ that convert seismic p- or s-waves to temperature and/or density. In general, the methods are valid for the upper lithospheric mantle. The programs are implementations of the methods by Goes et al. (2000) and Priestley and McKenzie (2006).
VeloDT binaries are available for Ubuntu 16.04 and MacOS 10.11 El Capitan and require an existing installation of Qt5.
