CLion disappears

Running Miriway desktop I switched workspace away from CLion and back but CLion was no longer running. I have no proof that Mir caused this, but I've never seen it with GNOME. There were no related messages in /var/log/syslog from the time.

Reproducer

1. Start CLion and bring up a menu (e.g. Alt-F).
2. Switch to another app (Alt-Tab)

Expect: menu is closed, CLion continues running
Actual: CLion is closed (by force)

Yes, it was "gone" gone.

And it happened again today. Now running clion from a terminal in the hope that something useful appears in the console log

It happened again: The last output to the console seems to have been half an hour before clion disappeared!

OK, this is happening around once a day. With (so far) no obvious pattern, nothing in the Miriway logs and nothing in the CLion console. I wonder what changed? Mir 2.16?

Having enabled MIR_X11_VERBOSE_LOG I see the following message when CLion vanishes:
