Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Required to handle collapsed sub-processes, cf. bpmn-io/bpmn-js#1443

Describe the solution you'd like

  • I can create new Planes on the Canvas. A plane consists of a SVG layer and a root element.
  • I can switch between planes. There is only 1 Plane active and visible at any time.
  • Overlays are hidden when attached to a hidden shape
  • Selection only affects the currently active layer

Describe alternatives you've considered
