At @FreeCAD we had in september 2023 a USD 4279.10 balance on Bountysource, not attributed to any issue. In January 2024, we had a lawyer write a letter to the blockchain group (new owner of bountysource), stating that bountysource acts as a fiduciary (it only holds the money on behalf of someone else, it is not the legitimate owner of that money), and we as the FreeCAD project are the legitimate owner of that money, as it was given to us, not to bountysource, in the mind of the donators. And we ask that money to be given to us (less the bountysource fee). We didn't get any reply. At this point, we don't plan to do anything further as it would likely cost more than what we would get and take a lot of time and effort... |

I added Freecad's case as well. it seems noone can get their money back. |

@yorikvanhavre, do you have any alternative ways to support your project? I would like to work on some issues for money. (although I have no experience in CAD ) |

We don't exactly have a bounty / paid issue program, but you could totally pick existing issues to work on and ask for a dev grant |
