Delete docs/ folder

Motivation: when searching through the whole repo, the docs frequently yield extra results that are tough to ignore/discard. Also, they appear to be out of date, and are out of line with the CONTRIBUTING.md guide in #198.

This PR appears to be pre-approved, per the discussion in #197:

I think it would be best to delete the docs folder. I once started on JSDoc type documenting, however I do not feel it really adds something to an open source repo, would rather have a CONTRIBUTIN.md document and a better explanation of the project structure.
