No communication between titan and companion #8

Apologies I am not very technical. Companion appears to be sending no commands to titan. Recognises button push but nothing beyond that - or at least nothing else appears in GUI's debug log (see screenshot). Tested other modules and they were working fine. Restarts & clean install of companion are not fixing. We had a javascript error message about port conflict but I think this was resolved by restarting. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Ok, so that should work.
On the computer Running companion, open a browser and go to http://[ip]:4430/titan/get/System/SoftwareVersion
Do you get a software version ?

Unfortunately not, my current suspicion is it is something to do with networking and somehow something might be blocking the ports but I don't know enough about it to be sure or next steps unfortunately. Best Wishes, Charlotte Anderson

whats the ip adress of the console ?
whats the ip adress of the computer running companion ?

blocking the ports would be weird, 4430 is almost never blocked

Then Ive already Found atleast part of the problem, the console and pc Cant have the same ip adres, if console is 192.168.1.22 then the pc needs to have another ip adres in the same range for example 192.168.1.23

Ahhhh, thank you I have changed it and now have an error. I am running Titan through software on the PC rather than a separate console. Best Wishes, Charlotte Anderson

You Will need atleast a T2 USB Dongle then, for the T1 or simulator companion wont work

It isn't running but I know it is 15.1. I think I am going to give up on Companion unfortunately as even the IT expert I got in can't figure out the fault. Thanks for all your help and feel free to close this thread.

I just want to Know if the issue is companion or your network.
Do you get the software version if you go to the URL i gave you with a browser or not.

If you put HTTP:// it Will not search it.
Put a URL like this in the browser:
http://192.168.1.10:4430/titan/get/System/SoftwareVersion

As long as this doesnt work it's a network issue and not a companion issue, this should Always work even with companion not Running.
