circumvent any ISP silliness whether it be CGNAT or a Dynamic IPv4 address by creating a secure tunnel between a remote vps server that acts as a traffic forwarder and a machine in your home acting as the actual server.

if you host anything on the Internet then the chances are that some bot from somewhere is going to want in. Automatically block these jokers with Fail2Ban

Not to brag but I have more than 1 group of friends who like playing Minecraft. I host all the Minecraft servers in my friend groups and I make a unique and fun use of DNS to get my pals where they need to go (the four weeks a year they want to go there)
