it's not obvious that click will open a browser. So might as well ask. Probably with a dont ask again button.

ported over from #76 which was mostly about fontgate

Add a footer control to hide and show documentation in a
plugin-wide sticky fashion.

Do this by adding setting glyph and setting menu, which means
the footer also no longer needs to link to web
