Hey all and a special shout out to @awawa-dev , thanks for all your hard work on this! I've just rebuilt my Hyperion as the previous setup was quite old and was using sk6812spi and didn't play nicely with the latest update and now looking for some assistance before I go mad and waste even more time troubleshooting something that might be above me. I can't get the new setup to activate my strip, there appears to be no output. I'll attach some pics of my setup. Hey, this is just a guess, as I’m not an expert here at all. But shouldn’t you be using an SD image if you’re on a Pi ? …

I can't get the new setup to activate my strip, there appears to be no output.
I have reflashed the ESP32-S2 mini (Multiple times with factory COLD + NEUTRAL / (hyperspi_esp32_s2_mini_SK6812_RGBW_NEUTRAL.factory), re-flashed the PI using (HyperHDR-20.0.0.0-Linux-aarch64.deb), rebuilt an entirely new board to make sure the level shifter wasn't DOA. I've run the traces with a Multimeter and still can't figure out what the issue is.
I'll attach some pics of my setup.
I'm sure it's a pinout/soldering issue, but just can't get my head around it!
Looked at a lot of blog posts and i'll attach the pic of the setup that is basically the same as mine, that I worked off for troubleshooting.

BTW esp32-s2 boards often come without bootloader so make sure your board exposes COM port. Otherwise you need to restore esp32-s2 bootloader using recovery procedure. |

Thank you for your support! These logs arouse my suspicions:
this suggests the presence of the MS2109 grabber, which is a USB2.0 grabber and not USB3.0 as the inscription on the casing claims. Use the Usually grabbers with a loop cause big problems, e.g. they do not allow HDR or Dolby Vision passthrough, they do not support HDCP or they limit the colorspace to what they can handle (but I don't know the model you use, maybe it's different) .Therefore, although this means more cables, a solution with greater possibilities is to use an HDMI splitter (e.g. Ezcoo) and a separate grabber such as MS2130. |

If you enabled continues output in the smoothing, tested using color not effect and disabled LED device then it's fine now. The
screen
output didn't stop/resume/change during the procedure? That's not a good sign as there is no communication between Rpi and Esp for some reason. Did you finally solder pins or use soldered female jumpers for your esp32-s2 board or it's in the 'air' like on the picture?
