Backstage has a notion of plugins: https://backstage.io/plugins

At the moment, they seem to be indexed all via a directory in github: https://github.com/backstage/backstage/tree/master/plugins

However, the backstage team is interested in potentially listing plugins hosted outside of that directory too.
