By default, Ubuntu or Debian based "apt" or "apt-get" system installs recommended but not suggested packages . By passing "--no-install-recommends" option, the user lets apt-get know not to consider recommended packages as a dependency to install. This does in fact make the images smaller, but the build fails with aclocal not being installed in debian8. You probably got a cached image in docker, so you'll need to run the reinit.sh script to clear the caches before you test. |
