First Public

This is the first true public release of Auto-GTAP. Previous releases were merely snapshots to backup the project, in order to prepare for upcoming significant revisions to it.

Notable Changes

• Numerous improvements to make it easier for others to install and use Auto-GTAP
• Reorganized structure of project files and directories to follow best practices
• Created example applications, including both GTAP-E validation and an increase in world productivity

Legacy GTAP-E

This is the last release with legacy code for the GTAP-E validation project. The code relevant to GTAP-E was not completely updated as the project changedto be more generic. As a result, the GTAP-E application does not run properly, but the code for it does still exist in the relevant places. Future versions of Auto-GTAP may delete this GTAP-E specific code entirely, so this release is intended to archive it, in case I wish to revisit GTAP-E validation in the future.

GTAP-E Validation

This release describes the project as it was when it was solely for validating GTAP-E. This release reflects the draft of the paper as of today (2018-4-18).

I chose to publish this as a "release", as the next step in this project will take it in a different direction by generalizing it. I'm going to rename the project and then add additional functionality to it for modifying the initial database, in order to generalize the use of Python to automate GTAP models.
