This project is a Node web app (using Express) that leverages AWS DynamoDB for a datastore. It was built for an IBM developerWorks Knowledge Path. The source code is CoffeeScript and you will need an AWS account as two environment variables (ACCESSKEY
and SECRETKEY
) are required for DynamoDB authentication.
Make sure you have a current version of Node. I recommend NVM. Then cd
into the root of this project and type:
$> npm install
Next, make sure you have Coffeescript in your path -- just install it for your current installation of Node:
$> sudo npm install -g coffee-script
Finally, make sure you have Ruby & Foreman (what if you don't? Install Heroku Toolbelt as that'll give it to you) and then type:
$> foreman start
Boom. Done.
This project uses Mocha and should -- to run these tests, type cake test
.
