Failed to enable the onedrive service after installing from source

Dear all,

I have just installed onedrive v2.5.4 on Fedora Workstation 41.

I tried enabling the onedrive service with:

systemctl --user enable onedrive

but I get an error message:

Failed to enable unit: Unit onedrive.service does not exist

Please help?

Given that the Fedora Build Service Koji (https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=26044) has not yet built v2.5.4 I can only assume here that you have built the client manually.

I will see what I can do regarding reproducing this on Fedora 41

I forgot to mention that I installed onedrive v2.5.4 from source upon clonning the git repository.

I will check the entire process (and share my experience) when I get back home (on my Fedora 41 workstation) this evening. At the moment I am at work using my Ubuntu machine.

If I am unsuccessful I will download and install one of the koji packages.

Dear @abraunegg ,

I am back with good news.

The problem was that the command pkg-config was in a non-standard place.

which pkg-config

returned

~/anaconda3/envs/fenicsx-env/bin/pkg-config

Consequently, running:

./configure

returned an error I did not see previously:

...
Package systemd was not found in the pkg-config search path
Perhaps you should add the directory containing 'system.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'systemd' found
...

Running the following commands solved the problem:
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/share/pkgconfig
./configure
...

PS: I found the value for PKG_CONFIG_PATH using the command:
locate systemd.pc

I am now good to go.
