How to create a BOM? #513
-
Sorry if this question arises from me being a FreeCAD noob, but the BOM creator requires parts to be placed in the Parts branch of the assembly. However, when adding parts via the "Insert Part" button, they are added to the Assembly part of the tree. What is the best way to handle this so I can create a BOM (ultimately going for a cut list). I saw that there is a BOM Readme but it starts with Parts being populated which does not apply in my situation. |

what Unfortunately the BOM of Assembly4 isn't very good, might even be broken, many people contribute to it and they all have their own use-case in mind. |

what
BOM creator
do you use ? If it's the one from Assembly4 then it parses the assembly tree and doesn't list the parts in theParts
folder.Unfortunately the BOM of Assembly4 isn't very good, might even be broken, many people contribute to it and they all have their own use-case in mind.
