2. Looking for feedback

• Last call! Discussion: Bringing accessibility-first approaches into content development Open till March 9
• Ronny and Maya have volunteered to take on writing for the Contributor Spotlight series. We're looking for nominations for the next folks to introduce! Nominate contributors you've seen active contributing to the team's goals recently.

3. Looking for volunteers

• We're looking for volunteers to outline a new Learning Pathway for contributors to the WordPress project.
  • This will involve outlining a curriculum like Learning Pathway: Intermediate User #2002, identifying what resources already exist on Learn and what new resources need to be created.
• The team is currently gathering a list of requirements for Testing translation plugins for learn.wordpress.org #2231 and we invite folks to share their input directly on the GitHub issue.

4. Updates from last week's dev-squad triage session

PRs/issues triaged:

• Add WordPress Playground Block #2264
• Feedback - A Logged in user viewing a Course Lesson triggers the Welcome to Course email #2261

We also would like to raise #2231 to any interested team members who can help test translation plugins on the Learn.WordPress.org local development environment.

The team also decided to switch to holding 2 triage sessions a month going forward, on the 2nd and 4th week of the month. We have been very successful in keeping untriaged issues and PRs to a minimum, so this change will allow more time between triage sessions.

• WordCamp Asia 2024 Contributor Day is happening in just a few hours! Sign up for the online session here: https://www.meetup.com/learn-wordpress-online-workshops/events/299072655/
• Wes and Jonathan will be hosting two more content creator office hours in March. The first session is scheduled for March 14, 2024, at 14:00 UTC (meeting link), and the second will be scheduled during the week of the 25th of March.

Discussion: possible collaboration to transform learning pathways to Skill Trees

During the feedback/discussions around Learning Pathways, @Flo SkillDisplay has offered to help transform our learning pathways to a skill tree format. I was not aware of the Skill Tree format, but it appears to be a format that Flo offers on their SkillDisplay platform, where they have collaborated with other open-source projects.

I would recommend that folks interested in this discussion read the original comment linked above, and the rest of the threaded conversation, to understand the benefits.

The idea here is that the skill tree format could allow teachers to "cherry pick the skills (aka learning path tree nodes) they really need, instantly render their own curriculum for a handout and get matching learning resources that are tailored towards her use case."

The process of converting Learning Pathways into Skill Sets would involve using the SkillDisplay tool for creating the Skill Set and then hosting the Skill Set somewhere on the Learn.WordPress.org website.

I would like to invite anyone interested in this process to read through the suggestions and share their thoughts. If this is something we as a team would like to consider, then we might want to plan a) when we want to do this, and b) who will be managing the process. If this is something that needs further discussion, perhaps we should move that all to a separate team post, looking for feedback.
