It might have been me. I've been struggling with WSL running Ubuntu on my PC with multiple GitHub accounts. I might have accidentally committed a branch from the wrong operating system. |

Description & motivation
Somehow, the create_custom_event macro got deleted with the latest release. This PR restores the macro.
