# Job Opportunities in Computer Vision, Remote Sensing, and Robotics

We always actively seek talented and self-motivated students. We have several opening projects for PhD students (**fully funded research assistant**):
We are excited to announce open positions for passionate students in the following cutting-edge areas:

**1. Geospatial and remote sensing** <br/> Focus on developing innovative deep learning-based computer vision algorithms for geospatial and remote sensing data analysis including satellite imagery (Sentinel-2, Planet) and UAV data, with the aim of addressing critical environmental and agricultural challenges.
## 1. Computer Vision: Multi-Object Tracking (2 Positions)
**Focus**: Multi-camera, multi-object tracking with an emphasis on dense and similar object tracking.

**2. Biomedical and healthcare** <br/>
Engage in interdisciplinary research applying machine learning and computer vision methodologies to analyze medical imaging and healthcare systems.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop state-of-the-art multi-camera systems accurate and efficient tracking of dense objects with similar appearances.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in agriculture and poultry science to deploy solutions in real-world applications.

**3. Machine learning, Data science** <br/> Develop machine learning, particularly with meta regression models to analyze structured data (tabular data), improving predictive modeling, inference, and data-driven decision-making.
## 2. Remote Sensing: Precision Agriculture (2 Positions)
**Focus**: Drone and satellite image analysis for agricultural applications.

- Collect, analyze, and interpret drone and satellite imagery to improve agricultural practices.
- Develop models and tools for precision agriculture, including crop health monitoring and yield prediction.
- Work with data scientists and agricultural experts to refine solutions for practical implementation.

## 3. Robotics: Robotic Arm Manipulation (2 Positions)
**Focus**: Robotic arm manipulation using exocentric and egocentric views.

**Responsibilities**:
- Design and implement algorithms for robotic arm control and manipulation with visual inputs.
- Optimize both hardware and software for seamless task execution.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, and computer science to enhance automation processes in supply chain and retail systems.

## Qualifications
- A strong background in computer vision, remote sensing, or robotics, with demonstrated experience in relevant projects or research. Having publications in related and relevant venues is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, etc.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.) and analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Pandas, OpenCV, Open3D, etc.).
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field; advanced degrees (MSc or PhD) are preferred but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for research and innovation.
