The goal of Solitaire is to move all the cards from the tableau to the foundation piles, arranging them in ascending order and separated by suit.
- Start with a standard 52-card deck.
- Shuffle the deck.
- Deal seven piles of cards from left to right, with the first pile having one card, the second having two cards, and so on, until the last pile has seven cards. The top card in each pile should be face-up, with the rest face-down.
- You can only move the top card of each pile, either to the foundation piles or to another tableau pile.
- Cards can be placed on the tableau piles in descending numerical order and alternating colors. For example, you can place a red 7 on a black 8.
- Aces are the foundation's starting point. Place them in one of the four foundation piles, one for each suit (hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades). Build on these foundations sequentially: Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King.
- If you have a sequence of cards in descending order and alternating colors, you can move them together to an open tableau column or onto a suitable foundation pile.
- Empty tableau columns can only be filled with a King or a sequence starting with a King.
- When you've moved all cards to the foundation piles in ascending order and by suit, you win the game.
- Always prioritize revealing face-down cards by moving the face-up cards.
- Try to keep tableau columns as empty as possible to create space for arranging cards.
- Plan your moves carefully, and don't make moves that might block access to important cards.
- Pay attention to suit sequences, and try to create runs of cards in the same suit.
Solitaire is a game of strategy and patience. It may take some practice to win consistently, but it's a great way to exercise your mind and enjoy some solo card fun. Good luck!
