npm install sqlite3@4.0.0 fails fetching pre-compiled binaries with proxy #992
Comments
Duplicate of #994? |
Depends, perhaps. Mine fails on node 8, but fixing #994 might fix my issue, I wouldn't know. |
Please try out the v4.0.1 release https://github.com/mapbox/node-sqlite3/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#401 and create a new ticket if you are still having issues. |
While installing the Sqlite3 I am getting the below issue please help me to resolve. C:\Personal\SAP CAPM\CAPMWithFE> C:\Personal\SAP CAPM\CAPMWithFE>npm install sqlite3
node-pre-gyp WARN Using request for node-pre-gyp https download npm ERR! A complete log of this run can be found in: |
Hello.
I'm using a wrapper around sqlite3 which now requires 4.0.0
It was using 3.1.3 before.
My main problem is that node-pre-gyp seems to be unable to download the pre-compiled binaries. I tried to access them through a browser and I can download them with ease with a wget, even.
It's as if node-pre-gyp doesn't use proxy variable environments anymore?
Using npm 5.3.0 and node 8.4.0
If I switch back to the previous version of the sqlite wrapper it requires sqlite 3.1.13 and installs just fine without any trouble.
What could cause the issue? I tried to set HTTP_PROXY, HTTPS_PROXY variables but it didn't work either (weirdly, node-pre-gyp was also unable to find my python executable but that's another story entirely. I'd prefer using precompiled binaries anyway)
Thanks in advance for your help.
