No changes in the component itself, but compiled, signed and notarised, to ease usage on Mac.
For Mac (Intel and Silicon) use directly the .dmg, content is useable for Mac and Windows.
For Windows you need to download the .zip
The .zip is also useable on Mac, it is signed and notarised, but requires on first execution internet connection to allow macOS to verify with Apple the notarisation status. For .dmg this is not required.
