Here is a list of all known resources that have compatibility built in for the Custom Powerups patch.
- DKCR Styled Sprite Status Bar
- Retry patch (unofficial build)
- Sprite Message Box v1.1
- SMB3 Status Bar v1.53
- WIP/None so far.

- Lunar Magic v3.00 and newer
- GPS v1.4.1 and newer
- PIXI v1.2.7 and newer
- AddmusicK v1.0.6 and newer
- UberASM Tool v1.4 and newer
- Probably everything else works fine as well. 🤷
Here is a list of all known incompatible resources with this patch. Note: there might be other incompatible resources that aren't listed here and most of the items added here weren't properly tested, most of them are me guessing the possible outcome. Feel free to report more incompatibilities.
- Better Powerdown. Already implemented in this patch.
- 32×32 Player Tilemap Patch 1.2. Already implemented in this patch.
- Mario's 8x8 Tiles DMA-er. Not compatible with 32×32 Player Tilemap Patch 1.2.
- Item Box Special, v. 1.3. Already implemented in this patch.
- Separate Luigi Graphics v2.2. Already implemented in this patch.
- Alternate Mario ExGFX. Already implemented in this patch.
- Poison Mushroom v1.0. Already implemented in this patch.
- Minimalist Status Bars. Does not support extra powerup items/Item Box Special.
- Wall Kick. Wrong poses when sliding on a wall.
- Individual Dragon Coin Save. Makes Player GFX disappear, needs confirmation.
- Custom Mario Palettes v1.5. A better implementation is included in this patch.
- OW Inventory. Doesn't support extra powerup items out of the box (and there's the fact that it's broken to death).
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii Styled Status Bar v1.7. Needs testing.
- Poison Mushroom. Already implemented on this patch. It's also incompatible with Dynamic Powerup Items.
- 1-Up + Mushroom. Incompatible with Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Fire Flower. Incompatible with Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Feather. Incompatible with Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Star. Incompatible with Dynamic Powerup Items.
- SMB3 Goal Card. It shows garbage instead of the actual roulette.
- SMB2 Starman. Incompatible with Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Pot. Powerup items generated from breaking the pot won't have the correct graphics if using Dynamic Powerup Items.
- KooPhD. Powerup items generated from the potions won't have the correct graphics if using Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Goal Roulette. Roulette will show garbage instead of the actual powerup tiles. It may fail to give powerups when touched.
- Invisible Sprite. Powerup items generated from the sprite won't have the correct graphics if using Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Treasure Chest. Powerup items generated from the chest won't have the correct graphics if using Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Egg. Powerup items generated from the eggs won't have the correct graphics if using Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Coin Shroom. Displays garbage instead of the mushroom tile. Not compatible with Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Atomic Shroom. Displays garbage instead of the mushroom tile. Not compatible with Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Random Shroom. May fail to give powerups to the player.
- Invisible Mushroom. Powerup items generated from the sprite won't have the correct graphics if using Dynamic Powerup Items.
- Object Powerup Blocks. Check the GPS folder for enhanced versions of this block.
- Question Mark Blocks v1.3.0. Check the GPS folder for special version of the blocks (does not include 32x32 blocks nor Yoshi egg blocks).
