See Textualize#2568. It seems that a later version of the action, but not the *latest* version of the action, works for Python 3.8 and Windows (if I'm seeing the same problem as I'm seeing in the action's own issues, then this is a possible workaround).

There is an issue with the latest version of this action, that's specific to Python 3.8 on Windows. Pinning to the (as of the time of writing) last-but-one version lets out tests work again. See Textualize#2568.
Did I solve your problem? Why not buy the devs a coffee to say thanks? |

Currently the tests being run within the GitHub actions are falling at the first hurdle due, it seems, to this. Investigate and solve.
