SiEPIC-Tools KLayout Hotkeys

KLayout built-in functionality:

• Escape: cancel, or change to "Select" mode

Tool bar:

• B: Draw a box tool
• I: Add an instance of a cell
• M: Move tool
• L: Partial edit of polygons, waveguides
• P: Create a path, used to define the path for waveguides
• R: Ruler to make measurements

Edit:

• Q: Properties
• Ctrl+C: Copy
• Ctrl+V: Paste
• Ctrl+Z: Undo
• Ctrl+M: Move by

File:

• Ctrl+N: New layout
• Ctrl+S: Save layout

SiEPIC add-ons:

• V: Verification
• W: Convert a path to a waveguide
• Shift+W: Convert a waveguide back to a path
• Ctrl+Shift+R: Resize a wavelength length
• Shift+O: Snap one component to another (first select object to move; then hover over object you wish to snap to)
• Shift+X: Process cross-section (only for PDK / Libraries that have the .xs file in the tech folder)

On OSX, please replace Ctrl with the Command button.
