Nansen Legacy template generator
A spreadsheet template generator developed based on experience from the Nansen Legacy project (https://arvenetternansen.com/), to make it easier for researchers to publish FAIR scientific data.
The user can create spreadsheet templates that consider either Darwin Core or CF-NetCDF. One can select Darwin Core terms or CF (Climate and Forecast) standard names as column headers. The template includes descriptions as notes each time a cell is selected, and cell restrictions so one is prevented from entering content in the wrong format. The CF-NetCDF configuration also includes separate sheets for recording variable attributes and global attributes, with terms and descriptions taken from the Attribute Convention for Data Discovery (ACDD) and the Climate & Forecast (CF) conventions.
