Ehrenberg 2021
Institute of Classical Studies/Hellenic and Roman Library, November 29, 2021
Learn how to create realistic 3D models of heritage objects from digital photographs, and collaborate in the digitisation of the pots, statuettes and other small objects in the Classics Library's Ehrenberg Collection. This two hour workshop will give a short introduction to the methods of photogrammetry, and then provide hands-on experience in both photography and processing images in a 3D software package. Please bring your own camera (your smartphone or tablet is fine). No previous experience necessary.
Before the session please install Agisoft Metashape on a laptop - you can run the fully functional trial version for 30 days after installing it, so you may want to wait until the last minute before requesting and activating the license. (We have a small number of computers in the Classics Library running this software, so if you're unable to bring a laptop it's probably fine.)
