Test flew this on multiple fixed wing aircraft the past couple days. Here are a couple example logs with FW_LND_HHDIST set to 0. The ground track was nice a straight all the way up to landing.

Without this PR heading hold was forced to kick in at flare which turned the body of the aircraft in-line with the landing approach and had the effect of being blown sideways in a crosswind.
