This pull request incorporates new PUF data generated by taxdata pull request 261, which fixes the problem identified in taxdata issue 259 immediately after #2032 was merged.
The new PUF input data cause relatively small changes in aggregate tax liabilities. For example, in 2018 under current-law policy, income tax liability goes up by about $20.5 billion (+1.2 percent) and payroll tax liability goes down by about $6.0 billion (-0.5 percent).
Note that once this pull request is merged into the master branch, users will need the
puf.csv
file from August 10, 2018, that is 54341028 bytes in size. That file is distributed to users through private channels because it contains restricted confidential data.
