The Badger and Bandit are early IS omni vehicles introduced by the Wolf's Dragoons in 3008.

Despite being omni units, these vehicles cannot be customized (either with pod or static mount weapons) at all prior to 3047-01-01.

To reproduce:

  1. Load the attached campaign which has a Badger in the hanger.

  2. In hanger, select the Badger to be customize in the mek lab.

  3. Bug: In the mek lab, remove the weapons and ammo and add a large laser in the turret. Note the "Begin Refit" button remains grayed out.

  4. Remove the Badger from the mek lab and advance the day to 3047-01-01

  5. Repeat step 3, note that the refit is now possible.

I realize that these vehicles pre-date general IS omni tech by decades, but it'd be nice if simple pod changes were permitted when parts are available.
