This Python script helps you discover Ubiquiti devices on your network and provides the option to run a set-inform
command on all of the discovered devices at once.
For the orginal command line tool:
- Python 3.11
- Nmap application (nmap.org/download)
- Paramiko library (
pip install paramiko
) - nmap library (
pip install python-nmap
) - Colorama library (
pip install colorama
)
pip install paramiko python-nmap colorama
For the GUI script: (I'm pretty sure this is broken ATM)
(You still need everything above as well!)
- qdarkstyle library (
pip install qdarkstyle
) - PyQt5 library (
pip install PyQt5
)
- Clone the repository or download the script file to your local machine.
- Open a terminal or command prompt and navigate to the directory where the script is located.
- Run the script using the Python interpreter with either:
python gui-tool.py
orpython command-line-tool.py
depending on your desired script. - The script will run and search for Ubiquiti devices on your network and display the results.
- If you choose to run the
set-inform
command, follow the prompts to enter the required information, such as your UniFi controller's IP/FQDN and optional custom SSH credentials.
- Automatic discovery of Ubiquiti devices using nmap.
- nmap arguments to skip pings and invrease verbosity.
- Option to run a
set-inform
command on all of the discovered devices. - Customizable SSH credentials for connecting to currently adopeted devices.
- -- manual flag to enter a subnet manually. use this by running
python command-line-tool.py --manual
- Use this script responsibly and ensure that you have proper authorization to interact with all of the Ubiquiti devices on the network.
- The script is provided as-is without any warranty. Use it at your own risk (especially the .exe installer file/script).
