Kodi and Unchained can be set up to easily play a media on a different device (e.g. phone -> tv). Devices must be on the same network (unless you're exposing Kodi to the internet)
- Enable the option
Allow control of Kodi via HTTP
underSettings -> Services -> Control
(the settings level must be at leastStandard
to see theControl
menu) - set the options as needed, the default port should be ok, authentication can be kept enabled or disabled
- check the ip address of the device running Kodi under
Settings -> System Information -> Summary (or also Network)


- Under
Settings -> Kodi
tap onManage Kodi Devices
and thenAdd device
, and fill the fields by using what you put inside Kodi. If everything is correct theTest
button should confirm it - check if
show kodi button
is enabled underSettings -> Download Details
