Introduction
This release marks the third anniversary of HBW Helper! The initial commit was made on January 27, 2018, and the only working feature in that commit was detecting if you are playing Hypixel Bed Wars. Since then, the number of lines of Java code (find src/main/java/ -type f -print0 | xargs -0 wc -l) has grown from 1370 to 3733 for version 1.0.0, and now at this version, it is 4390. After the basic features of this mod have been implemented, supports for new Bed Wars game modes and newer Minecraft client versions are constantly being introduced, bringing up the size of this project.
This version features support for Minecraft 1.16.x, which I decided not to add for the previous release because Minecraft Forge's support for Minecraft 1.16 was not superior at that time. Now that we already have stable Minecraft Forge releases for 1.16, I can no longer put off porting this mod to the latest Minecraft version.
Another thing that has happened since the previous release is Hypixel dropping support for Minecraft 1.9.x and 1.10.x. Unfortunately, this means that HBW Helper will cease to support those Minecraft versions too. The implications of the end of support are:
- The source code of this mod for Minecraft 1.9.x and 1.10.x will be kept under the
1.9-1.10.2branch - All mod artifacts and source code archives for Minecraft 1.9.x and 1.10.x will remain available for download
- No updates and patches to this mod after version 1.2.0 will be ported to the
1.9-1.10.2branch - No new versions of this mod will be built for Minecraft 1.9.x and 1.10.x
I will still endeavor to support all other Minecraft versions this mod has been working on, including 1.8.9, 1.11.x and 1.12.x, until Hypixel drops support for any of those versions.

- Support for Minecraft 1.16.5 will be added after Minecraft Forge releases a recommended build for it.
- Support for Minecraft 1.16.1 was abandoned because it would require additional changes to the code base, and Minecraft Forge never released a recommended build for it.

Introduction
This major update to HBW Helper mainly focuses on adding a mod settings GUI for Minecraft 1.14.4 and 1.15.x to replace the old /hbwhs command for mod configuration, and using Java 1.8 on every Minecraft version supported by this mod.
Support for Minecraft 1.16.x was not added because Minecraft Forge for that version is still not complete. Once a stable release of Minecraft Forge for 1.16.x is available, this mod will be ported to Minecraft 1.16.x.

Introduction
The next major update to HBW Helper, which is version 1.2.0, will have the following highlights:
- A new configuration GUI screen for Minecraft 1.14.4 and 1.15.x will be added to replace the configuration command. The command, intended only to be a temporary solution, has been here for a year, and the configuration GUI framework I have been waiting for has still not come out yet. So, I have made a simple but working configuration screen with utilities in Minecraft itself instead of Minecraft Forge.
- I have migrated this mod from Java 1.6 to 1.8 for old Minecraft client versions including 1.8.9, 1.9.x and 1.10.x. Now, the source code for all supported Minecraft versions targets Java 1.8, which allows for consistent, modern code style and less incompatible patches.
Whether support for Minecraft 1.16.x will be added in v1.2.0 is to be determined because Forge for 1.16 is still under development.

Introduction
Welcome to this new release of HBW Helper, which features Minecraft 1.14.4 support and changes for Hypixel Bed Wars v1.6.
If you decide to use this mod on Minecraft 1.14.4, please do the following things:
- Make sure you have installed Minecraft Forge 28.0.81. Older versions do not work, and a change introduced in Forge 28.0.82 might have rendered this mod's JAR file for Minecraft 1.14.4 incompatible, hence newer versions might not work either. More Minecraft Forge versions will be supported by the next release. For now, if you encounter any problem, please use Forge 28.0.81 and try again.
- Read through the special notes for Minecraft 1.14.4 to learn this mod's special designs and behaviors on Minecraft 1.14.4 and the current plan on this mod's support for various Minecraft client versions.
Otherwise, you can still use this mod on every old Minecraft client version supported by the previous release.
