  1. If the view is scrolled while performing a rectangle-drag select, the rectangle's starting point doesn't "stick" to the sequencer's content (background), instead it scrolls with the view (foreground) leaving previously selected items unselected in the end.
  2. There's no way to add or substract from the selection once it's done - the only thing possible is replacing the current selection. This makes selecting non-rectangular areas impossible.
  3. I'd also suggest making it possible to select/deselect items with Ctrl + Left Mouse Button (like in a typical file manager) I see shift is taken for something but a way to select clips from A to B might also be useful.

2 and 3. Holding Shift and selecting should add notes to selection, and remove already selected notes from selection.

This is the way it is implemented in the Piano Roll. If it were to be different here you should change in Piano Roll too. --> However then you couldn't manage to fast select notes, as holding Ctrl temporarily lets you use the selection tool and Ctrl + Shift add and remove from selection. If you changed it you had to make it so holding Shift temporarily would use selection tool.

This will probably be handled in 1.2... setting milestone for that.

@unfa: With Ctrl+LeftMouseButton I can select/deselect a single event. Is it this what you mean in 2.?

imo keypoint is that shortcut-keys are intuitive -eg we can not have logic difference betwen how one thing is done in piano-roll, and the in essence same thing uses different keys in song-editor. Ofcause std conventions should be first holdmark, but logical consistency is vip, Im sure that also is diizy intention for 1.2 (we also need to remember automat-editor! in this context)
