[64bit Windows 10] Crash when pressing enter on the "enter agent name" screen, "all security systems status" being toggled off causes player to be disavowed within half a minute of gameplay #1
Comments
I'll do my best to fix this (as soon as I get home). Also, the all security systems was meant to Avoid being disavowed.

As for the "All security status" having its box unchecked, it causes me to be disavowed almost immediately when I start playing. It was a brand new save, and all I had done was login to the Uplink Internal Services Machine. With the "All security status" checkbox unchecked, it works fine.
Also, a small request, would it be possible for there to be a cheat to prevent being caught/disavowed/etc? I know this is essentially just a save editor and it comes with its limitations, but I found a post on the Introversion software that piqued my curiosity and is the basis of this suggestion. It implies that a cheat to prevent being disavowed is very much possible with basic save editing, but it does not explain how.

I have just been caught by uplink for changing my criminal record and they have cut me off.
GAME OVER!
Obviously I know that we can mod in the game as I have done.
BUT what I want to know is, is there a way of undoing what uplink has just done?
Some way of deleting the coding so that I can carry on with the game...
Quick replies would be nice.
Just tell me if it can be done or not..
Thanks
Bramasta

I know how to do it, and it is easy. I'll PM you how to do it :)
But don't get disappointed, because actually there's something to do to your account before you got caught (so your current account that has been disavowed cannot be restored by my "tutorial"). So my "tutorial" may be useful for your next Uplink account if you're worried for getting disavowed.

Thank you so much! |
Just curious, what exactly does all security systems status do? Do I want that on or off? |
The Idea was that, when turned off, all systems wouldn't track you and you wouldn't need to bypass proxies,... And when turned on, everything would be normal (which doesn't happen).
I'm working on a major update which will (try) to fix this feature, while at the same time redesign (almost) all the UIs.

Not yet. I'm working on lots of projects (and studying for school tests :D) |
The fix is on my PC. Though I had committed it, but no.

Also you said you would fix the problem with being disavowed when having "all security systems status" off, Has this been commited yet?

I'm looking forward to the fix! Thank you for your work on this program, I very much appreciate it. |
Just need to fix the UI. The new UI will be first released on another project so you can see what do you think. You can choose between Dark, White or Colorful themes. |
Any progress? |
@atm0915 @ethanwdp This repo is being migrated to GitLab. The update will be available there. |
@ethanwdp @atm0915 Check it out here! The Due Date will be assigned there. This issue has been imported. Don't forget to create an account :D |
The Enter Problem is now SOLVED on GitLab. About the Security Things... I'm working om them since they'll require something like a Backup System. |

It was a brand new save, and all I had done was login to the Uplink Internal Services Machine. With the "All security status" checkbox unchecked, it works fine.
