Omaforge

Warning

Forge is currently seeking maintainers, so this project, while well-maintained, may have several issues and might not be supported in future Ubuntu LTS releases. Due to this situation and the resulting maintenance difficulties, production or daily use is not recommended.

For the same reason, this repository has been archived, and no further commits are planned until the situation with the extension becomes clearer. Should the project become active again or the issues resolved, reopening and resuming work will be reconsidered.

Omaforge can be considered a personalized derivative of Omakub, the one-liner tool that turns a fresh Ubuntu install into a modern development environment. It takes Omakub a step further, transforming GNOME with Forge into a tiling-like, streamlined workspace, inspired by Omarchy.

This is an experiment, a concept to demonstrate that it is possible to deeply customize GNOME.
