Add other language Version in README #6606

Welcome to the open source world! Since many years, the JabRef team has discussions on multi-language support. Be it developer documentation, user documentation and the user interface. It is a fact that the non-English documentation gets outdated pretty soon. The translatators come and go. More are leaving than continuosly joining. Since the README.md is a very prominent place, I have the fear that it will be read very often, but we cannot keep up ensuring its quality. Moreover, the README.md file is not intended to be consumed by end-users. The better place would be www.jabref.org. - There, I also think, we don't have translators for keeping it updated. We have the UI available in Chinese. However, 36% of the text is NOT translated:
May I ask how much experience you have with LaTeX, BibTeX and JabRef? Translation is a very difficult thing and takes much time. Maybe, you could start translating there? Please head to https://crowdin.com/project/jabref/zh-CN and contribute. |
