Day 04 of 90

In our previous session, we talked about DNS and domain names. Today, we will take a look at web hosting and what it means. The different platforms to host your webiste for free and some of the great paid ones too. Lock and load, its gonna be a long ride.

Intro

You could have this million dollar statup idea, build your very beatiful website and even buy a domain name for it. Without hosting though, your website wont be of any use because its not 'out there' where anyone can can use it. This is where web hosting comes into play. Take a look at the following resource to understand the different types of hosting services, so you make informed decisions when the time comes.

  • Dedicated Hosting
  • Managed Hosting

For starting out, I recommend using shared hosting unless you know what you are doing
