Installation - Run

1. Clone the Repository:

   git clone https://github.com/Ionut767/YouTubeVideoDataAPI.git
   cd YouTubeVideoDataAPI

2. Create a new terminal!

   To start the application, run the following command:

   npm run dev

How to use:

After starting the application, open your web browser and go to the following link:

http://localhost:5000/

1. Retrieving Video Data: To retrieve video data, you can use the following URLs:
   • To get all video data:

      http://localhost:5000/VideoTitle?attributes=all

     Alternatively, you can use a simpler URL:

     http://localhost:5000/VideoTitle

   • To retrieve specific attributes: You can customize the data you receive by specifying attributes in the URL. For example:

     http://localhost:5000/VideoTitle?attributes=title

     You can include multiple attributes as well:

     http://localhost:5000/VideoTitle?attributes=title,description,url

2. Filtering Video Data: To filter video data, you can use the following URLs:
   • To filter a single data:

     http://localhost:5000/VideoTitle?unattributes=title

     Another method is:

     http://localhost:5000/VideoTitle?attributes=all&unattributes=title

   • To filter more data:

     http://localhost:5000/VideoTitle?unattributes=title,descripotion

     Another method is:

     http://localhost:5000/VideoTitle?attributes=all&unattributes=title,description

   • The default noattribute value is none:

     http://localhost:5000/VideoTitle?unattributes=none

Planned Enhancements

   • I'm working towards enhancing the API's speed and overall readability. Expect a smoother and more efficient experience when interacting with the API.

3. Video Download Functionality:

   • I'm excited to announce the addition of a new feature: the ability to download videos using the API. This enhancement will provide a convenient way to acquire videos directly through the API.
