YAWMA (Yet Another Workload Management App) is a simple workload management tool built in Tauri (also my frist project I pushed to git!).
This is also my first big (+2000 lines) project, please excuse a poorly managed codebase, I am still new in the world of large projects.
I Hope to update YAWMA frequently and I love community feedback, so feel free to message me with an feature or create a pull request!
Basically, I have a messy desktop, full of folders, projects, responsibilities, and half baked ideas. So I wanted a simple app to manage them all. And while I found a couple good choices, nothing really hit me as something I could get used to, so I set out on making my own.
Back When I started this project, I first called it Titan Manager. (I call all of my unnamed apps "Titan [what it does]"). This was just in the early phases.
When I really got to work on it, I then changed it to "Thyntis", which is a section of the greek translation of the word "manager".
Finally nearing the 1.0 launch of YAWMA, I realized that I was just one in a million developers having this issue with their workload, and many developers build their own workload management tool. So to have some fun, I renamed accordingly.
Good question, this is port from electron, and I can barley code in javascript let alone Rust. Also this is my first big project that I am making all by myself.
I will never write CSS at 4am again.
