Also:

  • MinGHC is deprecated
  • Use git-scm.org as download URL

I'm not sure if we need to be so detailed here, especially in the part of git installation. Can't we just point them to https://docs.haskellstack.org/en/stable/install_and_upgrade/#windows ?

The main reason I mentioned Git for Windows was because many beginners don't even know how to easily obtain a Unix-like command-line environment on Windows which is required to follow along with many tutorials and installation guides. That's why teaching them how to install stack is not enough, because they might not even know how to navigate the Windows command line at all (which is required to use stack).

As discussed in #128, it might be worth actually getting rid of the detailed instructions for Windows
